About Us

Think. Plan. Do. Together.

Executive Summary

The Hack Foundation is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization dedicated to creating a decentralized, community-driven think tank where individuals can collaborate, problem-solve, and take action on real-world challenges.

Collaborative thinking

Traditional think tanks often reflect the interests of those funding them. Solutions are proposed and debated in closed circles, while the people most affected are left without a voice.

On the other hand, grassroots movements are powerful in spirit but often struggle with coordination. Without shared structure or tools, even the best intentions lose momentum.

The Hack Foundation exists to change this by giving everyday people a platform to organize ideas, shape solutions, and take collective action rooted in real-world needs.

Our Funding Goal

We are seeking funding between $400,000 and $1,000,000, structured into phases to support platform development, testing, and sustainable growth.

The Need for a People-Driven Think Tank

Think tanks have long played a key role in policy formation and public discourse. However, many operate with limited transparency, often serving the interests of political organizations, corporate backers, or ideological movements.

Traditional think tanks

Many traditional think tanks are structured as top-down policy engines, often driven by centralized agendas. While they can influence major decisions, they frequently leave out the perspectives of everyday people. This highlights the need for a more democratic and people-powered alternative that invites broad participation and local insight.

The Opportunity

Real-world Perspectives

Real-world Perspectives

Real-world challenges require real-world perspectives. Decision-making should not be limited to a select few, as this often overlooks how policies affect different communities.

Local Focus

Local Focus

People should be able to focus on the issues that matter to them. A top-down approach prioritizes broad policy narratives rather than addressing localized concerns.

Diverse Voices

Diverse Voices

Stronger solutions emerge from diverse perspectives. Including professionals, advocacy groups, and everyday citizens ensures broader insight and fewer blind spots.
